Configuring the Virtual Camera

The Virtual Camera is a popular feature when using video conferencing applications like Zoom and Teams within the virtual desktop.  The only prerequisite for using Apporto’s Virtual Camera is to install the driver on the Virtual Machine.

 Install Virtual Camera Driver

In order to use the Virtual Camera, the driver must be installed on the Virtual Machines.

Contact your Apporto Customer Success Manager or submit a virtualization request, and we will take care of this for you.

Test the Virtual Camera for Video Conferencing

Login to Apporto and launch two sessions (for two different users).

Be sure to click “Allow” on the browser popup to allow camera access.

Open the relevant video conferencing application (e.g. Zoom, Teams, etc.).

Ensure both users have opted to enable the camera in the application.

Test the video quality.

Enable the microphone (in the browser and in the application) in order to test audio.
