Viewing the Users Screen

The Users screen lets you view a list of all authenticated users for your Apporto system. You can add, edit and delete users from the User screen. You can also “bulk” import users or “impersonate” a selected user.

To view the Users screen:

  1. Using your preferred web browser, navigate to the URL for your Apporto system (e.g. mycollege.apporto.com) and log in to the system using your Admin credentials.

  2. Click the Users icon in the Navigation panel.
  • The Users screen displays.

  • The screen shows a listing of all authenticated users for your Apporto system. Each line in the listing provides the following information:

    • NAME – the user’s Full Name

    • EMAIL – the user’s email address

    • STATUS – the current status of the user’s account; Active or Blocked

    • LAST LOGIN – the length of time between the current calendar date and the date on which the user last logged into the system

    • ROLES – for Staff users only, indicates the user’s role; administrator or sub-administrator

    • GROUPS – the name(s) of the group(s) to which the user is assigned

    • HOST NAME – the name of the device with which the user is associated

      3. If desired, you can filter the list to display a subset of users:

  • Click the Filter user list link.

    • The screen refreshes to display the filter options.

  • To locate all users assigned to a specific group, select the Group radio button, then choose the desired group from the Select group menu.

  • To locate a user by Username, User Email address or Device Name, select the desired radio button, then enter the term you wish to search for in the Contains text box.

NOTE: When you search by Username, User Email address or Device Name, the system reads the word(s) in your search term as a string of characters (rather than as separate words), and searches for occurrences of the text string anywhere in the selected field. For example, the search term “turn” would include the results “Turner” and “Turnbull.”

  • Click the Filter button.

    • The screen refreshes to display only those users that match your filter criteria.

  • If desired, you can further refine the filtered list by applying additional filters.

    • Apply the additional filters as described above, then click the Refine Filter button. The screen refreshes to display only those users that match your filter criteria.

  • To remove the most recently added filter, click the Undo Last button.

  • To remove all filters, click the Clear Filters button.
