Downloading a File
 

When using a cloud desktop or app, you may wish to download a file to your local computer. You can also delete a file from the cloud PC.

To download a file:

  1. Using your preferred web browser, navigate to the URL provided to you by your Admin (e.g. mycollege.apporto.com) and log in to the system to access the App Store.
     

  2. Locate and launch the streamed app from which wish to download a file.

    • The selected app opens in a new tab.
       

  3. Click the File download   icon in the top panel.

    • The File Download Manager dialog displays.

    • The File Download Manager shows the Desktop directory.

                   

      4. Browse to the directory containing the file you wish to download by clicking the Cloud PC link at the top of the File Download Manager.
 

      5. Select the file you wish to download, then click the Download button.

  • The selected file is transferred to the default “download” directory for your web browser.

  • Use the standard procedures for your web browser to open the containing folder for the downloaded file(s).
     

      6. When the download is complete, click the Cancel button on the File Download Manager.


To delete a file from the cloud PC:
 

  1. While connected to a streamed app, click the File download  icon in the top panel.

    • The File Download Manager dialog displays.

    • The File Download Manager shows the Desktop directory.

                    

      2. Browse to the directory containing the file you wish to delete by clicking the Cloud PC link at the top of the File Download Manager.
 

      3. Select the file you wish to delete, then click the Delete File button.

  • A confirmation dialog shows the message "Are you sure you want to permanently delete this file?"

                   

  • Click the Delete File button on the confirmation dialog to complete the deletion. (Click the Cancel button on the confirmation dialog to cancel the deletion.)

  • The confirmation dialog closes, and the File Download Manager refreshes with the selected file removed from the list.
     

      4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to delete additional files.
 

      5. When all desired files have been deleted, click the Cancel button on the File Download Manager.
