Creating a service account

For on-premises instances, Apporto will need access to some of your environment’s service accounts for proper authorization. Use the information in this guide to learn how to create a service account.

Create a service account profile

To begin creating an on-prem service account profile, follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to the system using your credentials.
  2. Click Setup or the settings icon icon in the navigation panel.
  3. Click on the Hybrid Resource Mgmt tab button.
  4. The list of on-prem service accounts will display.
  5. Click add account. The system will direct you to the Add service account page.

  6. Enter the account values. The table below shows the values that make up a service account profile.
    Field Datatype Required? Notes
    Domain String Yes Domain for which the service account has access/control
    Username String Yes Account name with adequate permissions
    Password String Yes Password for selected username

    The field value will be masked by default.
  7. Click Save to create the account profile.
